Inspired by studies on sexism in the legal profession, it combines oral histories, material culture analysis, and legal research. The project explores how clothing norms in courtrooms affect these lawyers' experiences and invites public contributions to its archive. Professor J. Amy Dillard and Julea Seliavski invited me to create an organized and accessible website and branding to showcase their research. It was crucial that the design embraced various navigation systems including a menu and an indexed version of the site with tags and images. Their Growth by Design model needed to be reflected in a unique but inconspicuous logo. The logo was crafted with the Head Designer and Directors of Marketing and Media at Coulter Company. As Head Designer at Coulter, I took the reins on this project to develop a logo that would work alongside a client's existing branding while retaining its distinct character. I also created brand guidelines for future use of the logo. Born in the mountains of El Salvador, roaster Carlos Payes grew up working in the coffee fields. They are committed to offering exceptional coffee and sharing their success with the hard-working coffee communities who bring them their daily cup. I created concepts for coffee bag packaging and merchandise in the form of t-shirts and a tote bag. The proposed label designs highlight the origins of the beans sold in the shop by showcasing the country, farm, and owner. The color palette takes inspiration from the Salvadorian flag with added orange for warmth and balance. It focuses on practices from Mexico, my father’s homeland, and Puerto Rico where my mother is from. I collected information from a combination of sources including my family’s verbal recollection and practical use, my memories, and online and analog research. The following book is in both English and Spanish and includes several diagrams to support the text. I want to document this knowledge and establish its importance as a living resource that illuminates the influence of shared knowledge and heritage. Tierra: Earth Museum is a hypothetical museum that will allow visitors to reconnect with the community in which they live through experiential, tactile, and informative exhibitions. The museum’s primary focus is to encourage a deeper understanding of the environment and people that live in this environment. It covers a large scope of subjects that are represented by colors: Orange for Geology, Aqua for Flora and Fauna, Yellow for First Peoples, Pink for Art and Culture, and Blue for Community.
